Microsoft Arcade PocketPak
The Microsoft® Arcade PocketPak for the Pocket PC is a collection of all-time arcade favorites. Relive those carefree and exciting days when every quarter burned a hole in your pocket with Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Dig Dug. Now you can enjoy arcade classics at home, at work, or on the road-wherever you are, your arcade favorites will be on your Pocket PC.
Pac-Man was first introduced to the arcades at the end of 1980. The voracious little critter caught the hearts and imaginations of the public like no other game, and is the hallmark of the golden age of video games. Be quick, be fearless: chomp away on the dots and avoid those four relentless ghosts, level after level!
Introduced in 1982, Dig Dug was a shining addition to the golden age of video games. Dig-Dug's charming world and innovative game play made it an instant classic. As the heroic Dig-Dug, you have to battle Fygar the fire-breathing Dragon and escape the relentless pursuit of Pooka.
She looks like Pac-Man, but that red bow, lipstick, and beauty mark aren't the only things that set her game apart from its popular predecessor. Ms. Pac-Man sports complex mazes, randomly moving ghosts, and a wide variety of bonus snacks that bounce around the screen.

Welcome Back to the 1980's
Mark
from East Troy, WI, November 2, 2003
As others have stated in their reviews, soft resets are necessary for the software to work adequately with a PPC 2002. However, the games work excellent with my Ipaq PPC 2003. No complaints what so ever. Just like the real arcade games, sounds, action, and fun. It may cost more, but in the long run, given it is identical to the real thing, it will be the only purchased games you will play.

Arcade-Perfect with Bugs
Lucky
from Los Angeles, California, July 19, 2003
The games are perfect arcade translations of the originals! The graphics and sounds are here!
The games do have bugs. Sometimes the games take up memory even after they're stopped, and to top it off, when they are started up again, the games cummunitively take up more memory. This problem can be solved by resetting the device.
Also, the games sometimes run at an unplayably slow speed. This problem can also be solved by resetting the device.
This program keeps your attention long enough to be entertaining.

Great graphics, Hard to Control
sagapo7@bellsouth.net
from Bedford, KY, June 10, 2003
All three games are realistically done. The graphics are great. The sound is good. The only negative is the lack of control. I have an Ipaq 3765, it does not allow the rocker pad to be used simultaneously with a button. This would be helpful in Dig Dug where you turn quickly and pump. The controls are a little slow to respond to your command. This is the only drawback to this software.
