Good for offroad activities

This is a good bet for navigation where the road ends. The benchmark that I use is the venerable Garmin GPSMap 276C, and this is able to match up quite well to the device in terms of the accuracy, list of features, ease of use, etc.
The tools in the software are well-suited to the purpose. The tracklogs, along with the options for recording data points, the compass along with the indicators required for navigation to a specific waypoint, for e.g. are quite good. Along with the ability to easily export the tracklog files, to the PC for overlaying on Google Earth, etc. this is in all a perfect tool for offroad navigation.
I struggled for some time to get good quality maps of the region where I live, and I ended up paying for a tool called Yahoo Satellite maps downloader. Once the maps were loaded in the device however, this made all the difference as I was now able to see the terrain where I was headed (very useful in the desert) as you want to know what dunes to avoid, etc.
The only issue however, is the overall reliability of the pocket pc as a life-or-death tool (which it can be when in the middle of the desert), so I never venture out without the Garmin, but so long as the device battery holds up, this is the tool of choice for me.
It is a bit slow to load, but nothing to complain about when compared with a hardware device. No bugs that I encountered and I have used it for quite a bit. GPS lock is fast, but my device has A-GPS (HTC Tytn II).
Overall, a very useful program and good job done by the developer.

Cracking Product but depends on your device

Zero stars for the HTC X7500 version.Five stars for the i900 Omnia.I originally purchased this on the HTC X7500 Advantage/T-Mobile Ameo. No matter what I tried it just completely failed to work - it even affected GPS functionality of other apps and they failed to work, e.g. Google Maps.However I then bought an i900 Omnia with WM 6.1. I was wary about the app on this device as it wasn't on Handango's list of supported devices, however upon contacting the developer I got the new reg key and installed it straight away with no trouble and everything works good. For this it gets five stars but drops to four because of the problems with the HTC.Picks up Sat signals pretty quick with good lock on. Display can be set to give any number of permutations and can track speed, distance, altitude, compass etc...Also can overlay with Google Maps - topo, sat or normal.S'pose only gripe is that the buttons are small so cannot easily change display when running.

Excellent GPS software

Installation was simple on my ETEN M700, configuration took a couple of seconds and voila...
And if there are not maps available, use any JPG file (after calibrating with provided - free- software). I have tried it in Africa and South America and it works very well
